Specialized campaigns are publicity services for only one author's book or book series. These campaigns are conducted by senior publicists and publicists who specialize in the type of campaign that is being conducted.
A team of specialized publicists will study your book and determine the best methods to promote it.
A senior publicist will be the coordinator and will supervise the publicists, editors, artists, and staff members who will be working on your campaign.
Print Media Package (with books)
We create media packages especially for your book. The contents of the packages are custom designed so that they will be distinctive one-of-a-kind creations.
Your media package will contain the exact information that the print media needs in the exact order that they want it. Some journalists and producers will want a concise summation of your book’s information because they want an immediate overview. We will provide a correctly presented summation on graphically designed literature. We also will furnish extensive information for those who are interested in the details about your book. Speaking agents may want to see your book to determine if various groups could use you as a speaker. (We will provide guidance for those who need assistance.)
Plan A:
Print Media Campaign
Newspapers and Magazines
This is a short overview of the extensive services:
Many of our publicists have worked for the print media, so they know -- firsthand -- how to gain the interest of newspaper and magazine editors.
After the literature is mailed, your publicist telephones newspaper and magazine assignment desks, book columnists, special-feature writers, and/or editors. Then, your media packages, each with a copy of your book, are mailed to the correct contacts. At the appropriate times, we do a series of follow-up calls. We suggest ideas for articles about your book. We let them know why your particular book is special.
Within the budget that you dictate, we will secure the best display advertisements in newspapers and magazines. They will be placed in the print media that we feel will give you the best opportunities for massive exposure. All of the advertising will include our toll-free telephone number so that we can handle the requests and guide the campaign.
Sometimes, newspapers and magazines express interest in a certain book or author, but are not ready immediately. If, after some time has passed, they have not written and published an article, we will write a complete article for them. Small newspapers/magazines are happy to receive completed articles with photographs. Large newspapers/magazines may use our articles as ideas for other articles that they will publish. We give your book many different and excellent paths to success.
Plan B:
Broadcast Media Campaign
Television and Radio
This is a short overview of the extensive services:
We will produce a professional news release about you and your book that is written by our experts with broadcast experience and designed by our graphics department. This news release will be mailed to the media prior to the mailing of your broadcast media packages.
We will design broadcast media packages especially for your book. The packages will be custom designed so that they will be unlike any other package (even on the outside) to catch the eye of producers and show hosts.
The contents of your broadcast media package will be exactly what the broadcasters require. We will provide the media with a summary of your book along with extensive information for those producers who are interested in the details. (continued) |

Plan B (continued)
Our publicists who have worked for the broadcast media know how to gain the interest of television and radio producers. They do follow-up calls for the scheduling of interviews on programs.
Radio interviews can take place in person or from anywhere in the world by telephone. We will focus only on radio interviews, if requested, especially if you are not in the United States.
After the brochure is mailed, your publicist will telephone television and radio assignment desks, producers, and program hosts. If your book is newsworthy, we will contact the newsrooms and news bureaus. Then, your media packages, each with a copy of your book, will be mailed to the correct contacts.
We will do follow-up calls and make visits when appropriate. We will suggest ideas for articles about your book. We will let them know why your particular book will make a good subject to spotlight.
Within the budget that you dictate, we will write and oversee commercials lasting from 30 seconds to 30 minutes and will choose the best time slot within that budget. (If your budget it limited, we'll focus on late night viewers. You'll be surprised by how inexpensive some of them can be.)
We think creatively. For instance, a host of a radio show may have a favorite charity that the station is promoting during a special event. Becoming a paying sponsor (instead of an advertiser) is sometimes more economical than the cost of commercials – and your name and book may be mentioned more frequently.
We will suggest and outline programs (such as public interest stories that relate to your book) that can be pre-recorded by the stations to use when needed. Public access television is an alternative solution.
Our publicists are talented and can work within almost any budget to get you and your book known.
Plan C:
Targeted Campaign
Created Exclusively for Your Book
This is a very short overview of extensive services:
A team of top-level specialists and our highly experienced support staff will have meetings about your book. Each specialist will be assigned a different area to research.
When the research has been completed, a senior publicist will organize the campaign and submit a report to you. The report will contain many choices so that you can decide which ones you want.
After you have approved your choices, your primary senior publicist will select your specialized team. Each will have their assignments and will implement the publicizing of your book to targeted audiences online and offline – some simultaneously and some in sequence.
Some of your professionals will focus only on your targeted audience. Many books may have wide appeal, but they also have a main group that will be interested in it the most. Your book may be a history textbook, a training manual, a religious guidebook, a mystery novel, a children’s book, or myriads of others. Your team focuses on your targeted group and subgroups.
For an example of subgroups, let’s say that a book is entitled: How to Cook Like the Pennsylvania Pioneers. In addition to the general public, your targeted sub-groups would be American history buffs, culinary schools, "how-to" book clubs, and the tourist industry in Pennsylvania. According to Google, there are at least 41,300,000 "how-to" book club web links. Each book club has many members. Obviously, we could not send information to all of those book clubs, but we would do research to find those that are the most related to that book. Remember that the "how-to" book clubs list is just one targeted sub-group.
We will find the right "angle” for your book!
