Order-Taking / Fulfillment Services / Book Sales Processing
BOOK FULFILLMENT
Order-taking (also called fulfillment and order processing) is the most labor-intensive and tedious chore in the publishing industry -- but a necessary one. It is the combination of services that are rendered during and after the sale of your book. We receive the orders from your customers (individual people, bookstores, schools, and others). Then, we process their payments, mail or ship your books, and pay you.
If you're not available
from 9:00 - 5:00 Eastern Time, Monday through Friday
to take orders for your book,
let us do it for you!
A special toll-free telephone number -- not the one above -- will be given to you when you become our fulfillment client. Put it on your promotional literature and your web site. Say the number during your television or radio interviews. Include it in articles about you/your book in newspapers and magazines. Distribute it everywhere so people can call to order your book.
They can order online in our bookstore, call, fax, or mail their orders.
Keep all of the other sales processing systems that you have. You can use them in addition to using our services.
You can sit back and relax. We'll do the work for you. |
Please read all of the details:
One-Time-Only Set-Up Fee: $99
to set up your book in our inventory system
and to register your book in our national sales system
This includes a FREE basic listing
in our online bookstore.
(The set-up and listing are free
for authors who publish their books with us.)
Your customers will be able to purchase your book online
in our bookstore, by calling our toll-free number, or by mail.
Bookstores, wholesalers, other distributors, schools (public
and private grade and high schools; colleges/universities), libraries, government agencies, independent booksellers,
and specialty outlets usually send purchase orders
that are mailed or faxed to us.
Our percentage is 15%.

Authors never pay any of the costs for the mailing or shipping
of books to individual customers, bookstores, or other outlets.
Authors pay to ship their books to us -- only.
