Auslander, a German word that means foreigner,
is a saga that illuminates the commonness of the human experience under adverse conditions.

“I felt strongly about writing this story because I wanted to honor African American soldiers of the World War II era and all of the people who came together at that crucial juncture in human history. The characters in Auslander come from many countries and observe many faiths, yet they are linked to each other exactly as real people are connected in today’s situations. Auslander was written to entertain and enlighten, but especially to highlight the universal plights of humanity and the emotions that exist in all people. Because this book is about an African American and his love interest, it emphasizes the very real struggles and relevance of a people whose contributions to the past and present often remain unappreciated and frequently are unknown to the world.” |
